Frequently Asked Questions

  • Mediation is a confidential, voluntary process where a neutral third party (me) helps you and the other person reach a fair, complete agreement together. Unlike court or lawyers, you stay in control of the outcome the entire time.

 I follow a simple 5-step SONAR process:

  • Statement (ground rules)
  • Opening (each person shares their story)
  • Negotiation (brainstorm options)
  • Agreement (draft the solution)
  • Resolution (close positively)

Sessions are calm and collaborative.

  • Yes. Everything discussed is protected by Arizona law and remains completely confidential. I cannot be called as a witness in court.

  •  Absolutely – you can start, pause, or stop at any time. It's non-binding until you both sign an agreement.

  • Free 15–30 minute initial consultation
  • Regular sessions: $125 per hour (split equally between parties)
  • Most cases are completed for a total of $125 – $250
  • $125 deposit to reserve your session date

  • My goal is always to help you reach a full resolution in one focused session whenever possible. I do not believe in dragging things out or creating a revolving door of meetings. Most cases I handle are completed in a single 1–2 hour session. If additional time is truly needed, we’ll discuss it openly and only move forward with your agreement.

  • Mediation is not legal advice. I strongly recommend each party consult with their own attorney to review the final agreement before signing. However, many people use mediation successfully without having lawyers present during the sessions.

  • Family & divorce, neighbor/community issues, workplace conflicts, and more – serving West Valley and Greater Phoenix AZ with virtual or in-person options.

  • Mediation is still an excellent option. We can work together on a complete agreement even after paperwork has been filed. The signed mediation agreement can then be submitted to the court to finalize everything.

  • That’s okay. Mediation is voluntary — you are never forced to agree to anything. If we reach an impasse, I will help you explore all options and you can decide on next steps (including going to court if needed).
